Abstract
The invention discloses a method for prolonging storage period of Hetao honeydew melons. The method disclosed by the invention comprises the following steps: spraying a 1wt% Ca(NO3) aqueous solution into melons before picking, and storing the melons at a low temperature after picking. The spray time is one week before melon picking. The spray mode is the two-time spray mode, and the spray time interval of each time is one day. Proven by experiments, according to the invention, different processing methods are adopted to process Wallace melons so as to research the influences on the physiological storage period and the quality, and finally a conclusion that the processing effect of the 1wt% Ca(NO3) aqueous solution is best can be drawn.
