Problems solved by technology

In this case, when displaying medical images in 3D, it is difficult to distinguish the context in two dimensions, but the 3D display becomes easy to understand and finds the lesion easily.

Deformed example 1

[0060] FIG. 8 shows an example in which a stereoscopically viewable text plane 70 is made as a plane close to the three-dimensional display surface of the three-dimensional medical image 30 . exist Figure 8A In this case, the viewer feels that the surface seen by stereoscopically displaying the text plane 70 is displayed more deeply than the surface viewed by stereoscopically displaying the three-dimensional medical image 30 . The parallax image generator 183 shifts the text area 50a for the right eye in the arrow X direction, as shown in Figure 8B The position of the text plane 50b for the right eye is changed as shown. Using the changed text plane 50b for the right eye and text plane 60b for the left eye as parallax images, the text plane 70 is created on a plane that is the same as or close to the display surface of the three-dimensional medical image 30 .

[0061] Thereby, the observer can observe the text information related to the three-dimensional medical image with...

Deformed example 2

[0063] Next, in Figure 9, Figure 10 The middle circle shows an example in which a part of the text area deviates from the display range of the display unit 12 . exist Figure 9A In this case, when the position where the three-dimensional medical image 30 is stereoscopically displayed is in front of the observer's eyes, the parallax image generating unit 183 changes the text area to, for example, the left eye side of the display unit 12 ( Figure 9A The so-called lower side) so that the display positions of the three-dimensional medical image 30 do not overlap in the line of sight of the observer. However, at this time, when the position for stereoscopically displaying the three-dimensional medical image 30 is left from the center of the display unit 12, the text area is set on the left side of the display unit 12, and a part of the area may be displayed on the display unit 12. The range deviates.

[0064] Therefore, if Figure 9B As shown, the text areas 50a, 60a are rese...

Deformed example 3

[0069] Next, at Figure 11 12 shows an example when a three-dimensional medical image and a text area overlap when the text information is an operation panel or an operation button. FIG. 12 shows an example of an image. In this case, unlike the other examples described above, the text area occupies most of the display section 12 .

[0070] exist Figure 11 In the figure, when the text plane 70 is created using the text plane 50b for the right eye and the text plane 60b for the left eye as parallax images, the shaded portion overlaps the display position of the three-dimensional medical image. Regarding the text areas 50c and 60c corresponding to the shaded portions, the parallax image generation unit 183 does not set the text areas, but preferentially displays the three-dimensional medical image 30 .

[0071] An example of an image seen by the observer at this time is shown in FIG. 12 . In FIG. 12, the text information is set as four operation buttons. Figure 12A is the d...

Abstract

According to one embodiment, a medical image processing apparatus includes at least a parallax image generation unit and a display unit. The parallax image generation unit generates combined data of a three-dimensional medical image data and a text information, and generates a plurality of parallax image data by performing projection processing on the combined data along a corresponding plurality of parallax directions. The display unit displays a plurality of parallax images, based on the plurality of the parallax image data, in the corresponding plurality of parallax directions such that a three-dimensional medical image based on the three-dimensional medical image data and a text plane based on the text information are perceived stereoscopically viewable by an observer. The parallax image generation unit changes orientation of a display region for the text information in generating the combined data according to each of the parallax directions.

Description

[0001] This application is based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2011-103812 (filing date: May 6, 2011), from which it enjoys priority benefits. This application incorporates the entire content of this application by reference. technical field [0002] Embodiments of the present invention relate to a medical image processing device. Background technique [0003] A volume rendering (VR) technique is known in which a medical image captured by an image diagnosis device is reconstructed as volume image data and displayed on a monitor as a 2D image. In order to express a realistic sense of depth on this volumetric image, it is also conceivable to perform 3D image display. By displaying medical images in 3D, it is expected to be used in various scenes such as preoperative conferences, surgical planning simulations, and intraoperative navigation. [0004] Conventionally, a monitor capable of stereoscopically viewing two parallax images (binocular parallax images) captured from...
