A hole penetrated through by the key is formed in the lock cylinder, at least one block plate hole corresponding to the slot is formed in the lock cylinder, at least one lock column portion is formed on at least one side of each lock plate, a block plate is arranged on each block plate hole in a sliding mode and a lock column correspondingly clamped with the lock column portion is formed at one side of the block plate. Therefore, when the key is inserted in the lock cylinder, the lock plates are driven to move simultaneously. When the lock column of the block plate is combined with the lock column portion of each lock plate, the block plate is far from the slot of the lock body and therefore a user can obtain a rotary key capable of being forward turned and counter turned at 360 degrees and the practical aim of increasing unlocking difficulty is achieved.
