Abstract

The invention discloses a manufacturing method for a zirconia corundum ceramic ball-low alloy steel composite material and aims to provide a manufacturing method, with the advantages of no increase of product cost and substantial improvement of the service life of a product, for a composite wear-resistant material. The method comprises the following steps: 1) mixing vanadium iron powder, a soluble glass binder and water according to a mass ratio of 9-11: 1: 1 to prepare a coating; 2) placing zirconia corundum ceramic balls in hydrofluoric acid liquid for roughening; 3) placing the zirconia corundum ceramic balls roughened in step 2) in grids of a steel wire mesh, with an interval between two ceramic balls being in a range of 5 to 8 mm, covering the arranged ceramic balls with another steel wire mesh and fixing the two steel wire meshes; 4) immersing the steel wire meshes fixed with the ceramic balls in step 3) in the coating, then taking out the steel wire meshes and drying the steel wire meshes for subsequent usage; 5) fixing the steel wire meshes coated with the coating in a casting mold; and 6) fusing low and medium alloy to obtain molten steel and pouring the molten steel into the casting mold so as to obtain the composite material after solidification of the molten steel.
