Abstract

The invention provides a WebSocket-transmission-based load balancing method and a device, and aims at saving network resource and improving distribution efficiency. The WebSocket-transmission-based load balancing method comprises receiving a first WebSocket request which is launched by the client-side via a short link; enabling the client-side to redirect to a server in server cluster according to load balancing strategy, and enabling the client-side to launch a second WebSocket request to establish a link with the redirected server. Due to the fact that the WebSocket-transmission-based load balancing method does not always occupy the bandwidth between the load balancer, on one hand, network resources are saved. On the other hand, due to the fact that the data interaction between the client-side and the server is conducted through the link established between the client-side and the server after the client-side and the server are established a link, therefore, compared with the prior art, the WebSocket-transmission-based load balancing method is capable of guaranteeing own performance of the load balancing device free from impact, so that distribution ability of load balancing is improved.
