Abstract

A water heater comprises a water inlet pipe, a water flow switch, a heater, a water outlet pipe and a time delay module. The heater is used for heating water. The water flow switch is used for starting the heater when water flow speed reaches preset threshold value, and closing the heater when the water flow speed value is lower than the preset threshold value. The time delay module is used for starting counting when the water flow switch conducts closing motion, and conducting zero clearing when the water flow switch conducts opening motion. The water flow switch is used for staring the heater when the water flow speed reaches the preset threshold value and time counted by the time delay module reaches preset time after closing. Thus, the time interval from closing of the heater to next starting of the heater is limited. A user closes a faucet and then instantly opens the faucet in hot water releasing processes. Consequently, the time difference does not reach the preset time, thus, the water flow switch can not start the heater, but releases hot water remained in a pipeline, and therefore hot water can not be wasted, and energy resources are saved.
