The Providencia rettgeri YL is collected in China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center (CGMCC) on April 28th, 2013, and the collection number is CGMCC No.7544. The Providencia rettgeri is used for treating nitrogenous organic wastewater, and can effectively remove organic nitrogen, ammonia nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen while removing organic carbon, and thus, the whole organic carbon and nitrogen synchronous removing process can be implemented only by one aerobic stage. The strain has the heterotrophic nitrification-aerobic denitrification function, can synchronously remove the organic carbon and nitrogen under aerobic conditions, can greatly reduce the occupied area and construction investment, can shorten the system start-up time, reduces the treatment cost, and enhances the treatment efficiency.
