Abstract

The invention discloses a method for testing the rotating speed lifting transient performance of an engine under a fixed torque condition. The method comprises following steps. (1) An engine to be tested is connected with a dynamometer. (2) The engine operates in an idling state. (3) A fixed torque less than a maximum load capacity in the idling state is applied to the engine. The engine stably operates at least five minutes under the fixed torque. In the meantime, the output characteristic of the engine is detected after the applied torque is steady. (4) The accelerator of the engine is lifted from a idling position to a hundred percent position and is maintained at least thirty seconds. In the meantime, the output characteristic of the engine is detected in a process from the time when the accelerator begins to be lifted to the time when the thirty seconds end. (5) The accelerator is returned from the hundred percent position to the idling position and the engine operates stably at least one minute. The returning time of the accelerator is controlled to be two seconds and the output characteristic of the engine is detected when the accelerator returns. (6) The steps (2) and (5) are repeated at least three times. The method is capable of accurately testing the transient output characteristic of the engine under a condition of fixed torque so as to provide accurate reference data for an engineer.
