A plurality of scattered measurement locations are set away from each other as sampling positions. The approach and separation movements are performed at each sampling position. When measuring the surface by the probe at a sampling position and while making the probe move between sampling positions, servo control by the servo controller is continued. This makes it possible to quickly measure the surface by a simple controller and possible to measure a wide area or measure a high aspect ratio. When making the probe approach to the sample surface for measurement at the sampling position, it is also possible to cause a scan motion for tandem movement at an equal speed and in the same direction as the scan motion by the XY scanner.

A continuous measurement of the level of contents in a container is effected by a level measuring device functioning in accordance with the transit time principle by means of waves transmitted from a position located above the highest possible contents level onto the surface of the material in the container. A measuring circuit determines the contents level from the transit time of the useful echo reflected from the material surface. In addition, one or more limit sensors are located at the container, each of which furnishes a signal indicating whether the contents level is above or below a level to be monitored by the limit sensor and which is situated between the minimum and maximum contents levels of the container. The measuring circuit receives the output signals of all limit sensors and uses these output signals to check and eventually to correct the contents level measured value determined by the level measuring device. In particular, the measuring result furnished by the level measuring device can be compared with an exact contents level value every time the contents level reaches the level monitored by a limit sensor whereby the level indication of the limit sensor changes its status. In certain cases, a single limit sensor is sufficient for this purpose, which monitors a contents level which is regularly exceeded or undershot in the normal use of the container.

Batteries plate thickness on-line measurement method utilizing baseband thickness for self-calibration

Disclosed is an on-line measurement method of battery pole plate thickness, which utilizes the thickness of a base band for automatic calibration, and the invention relates to a method for on-line measurement of battery pole plate thickness by adopting the laser differential detection. The method overcomes the defect of low measuring precision of the prior art due to the failure of on-line real-time automatic calibration. The method adopts the following steps that: a battery pole plate moves on a coated paper production line with constant speed; two laser displacement transducers arranged above the upper surface and under the lower surface of the battery pole plate respectively measure the distance value thereof relative to the battery pole plate; the program in a computer is controlled for calculating base band sampled data and SUMB of the two laser displacement transducers at the same time; the program in the computer is controlled for calculating hits in a coating area and SUMM of the two laser displacement transducers at the same time; and the program in the computer is controlled for calculating the thickness of the battery pole plate according to the formula of (SUMM-SUMB) xK+Db, wherein K is a constant; and Db is the base band thickness.

Array type air pressure measurement compensation device and method based on quantum particle swarm wavelet neural network

The invention discloses an array type air pressure measurement compensation device and method based on quantum particle swarm wavelet neural network. A micro-processing module is started to send instruction to a pressure sensor array and a temperature sensor, so that the air pressure and temperature are measured; measurement data is transmitted to the micro-processing module and a host computer respectively; the host computer establishes a wavelet neural network according to the received air pressure and temperature, and the wavelet neural network is optimized by utilizing the quantum particle swarm algorithm, the quantum particle swarm wavelet neural network is trained at the same time, and an obtained air pressure correction compensation formula is transmitted to the micro-processing module; the micro-processing module calculates the accurate air pressure value whose error is compensated; and the accurate air pressure value is transmitted to a display module and displayed. Retardation error of air pressure measured by arrays is compensated on the basis of the quantum particle swarm wavelet neural network, temperature drift and non-linearity are compensated, errors are reduced, effective signals are enhanced, air pressure measurement is more accurate, and requirements for meteorology measurement are met.
