Embodiment Construction

[0018] Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for sharing Diameter-bound data are provided. figure 1 is a network diagram illustrating an exemplary network environment for sharing Diameter binding data according to an embodiment of the subject matter described herein. refer to figure 1 , network environment 100 may contain one or more processing elements. For example, network environment 100 may include a Home Subscriber Server (HSS) processing element 102 1 、102 2 and 102 n . HSS processing element 102 1 、102 2 and 102 n Subscription related information such as a subscriber profile may be contained and may be used to perform authentication, authorization and billing functions. The network environment 100 may also include a Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) processing element 104 1 、104 2 and 104 n . PCRF processing element 104 1 、104 2 and 104 n May serve as a central policy decision point for the network environment 100 and may make real-time po...

Abstract

According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a method for sharing Diameter binding data. The method includes receiving, by a first Diameter signaling router (DSR), a first Diameter message requiring processing. The method also includes selecting, by the first DSR, a processing element to perform the required processing from a plurality of processing elements. The method further includes routing, by the first DSR, the received first Diameter message to the selected processing element. The method further includes creating, by the first DSR, a binding record associating the selected processing element with information associated with the received first Diameter message. The method further includes communicating, by the first DSR, the binding record to a second DSR.

Description

[0001] priority claim [0002] This application claims the benefit of US Provisional Patent Application Serial No. 61 / 448041, filed March 1, 2011, the entire disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference. technical field [0003] The topics described here involve sharing Diameter binding data. More particularly, the subject matter relates to methods, systems, and computer-readable media for sharing Diameter binding data. Background technique [0004] The Diameter protocol is a next-generation Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) protocol. The Diameter basic protocol is defined in IETFRFC3588, and the entire disclosed content is added here as a reference. The Diameter protocol commonly used in the Internet Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) infrastructure is derived from the Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) protocol. Historically, the RADIUS protocol has been used by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to provide a secure communication chan...
