The method is operated by using intelligent equipment and comprises the following steps of initializing an interface; performing corresponding operations according to operation command types; collecting information of surrounding places if the operation command type is scanning; sequentially broadcasting the information of the places in a voice manner; receiving an objective place type from a user if the operation command type is searching; acquiring a place list which meets requirements of the objective place type in a set range; broadcasting place information corresponding to a place in a voice manner according to the place selected by the user from the objective place type; and collecting positioning information and broadcasting the positioning information in a voice manner if the operation command type is positioning. The method is based on the portable intelligent equipment, extra equipment is not required except for earphones, and the implementation cost is low; and the method is easily popularized to the blind persons and visually impaired people.
