Abstract

Included are systems and methods for communicating with a vehicle user. One embodiment includes obtaining a user preference and authorization information relating to a mobile phone device and third party information, recognizing the particular user upon approach with the mobile phone device and implementing the user preference for the particular user, the user preference comprising a setting for a functional aspect of the vehicle and a setting for a non-functional aspect of the vehicle. Some embodiments include providing, by the vehicle computing device, customized interactive communication with the particular user, based on stored user preferences and third party information.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments described herein relate generally to communicating with a vehicle user, and more particularly to systems and methods of a vehicle for implementing functional and / or non-functional aspects of the vehicle. Background technique [0002] Historically, vehicle navigation has helped vehicle users route to destinations. Many current vehicle navigation systems provide users with the ability to locate a desired destination using audio and video directional output. Despite the benefits of these current vehicle navigation systems for vehicle routing, these current systems are generally static in nature. More specifically, many current systems only allow the user to manually enter a destination. While such systems are beneficial, users often do not use these systems due to difficulty of use. Additionally, many of these current navigation systems are not user specific and do not allow access to data from another source. Contents of the invention ...
