The method includes the steps that firstly, information in the identification tags is obtained and gathered to form a character string; secondly, the coding format used by the character string is detected through the multiple coding formats so as to obtain multiple detection results and confidence scores of the detection results; thirdly, whether the confidence scores are larger than a threshold value or not is judged, when the confidence scores of all the detection results are smaller than or equal to the threshold value, the detection results are transcoded to be in the common coding formats, and the detection results generated after transcoding is conducted are searched for through a search engine; finally, the coding format corresponding to the detection result mostly searched for is set as the coding format of the identification tags.
