An embodiment of the invention discloses an application recommendation method. The application recommendation method includes: starting test items to acquire test results of the test items according to test instructions inputted by a user; determining whether a terminal is in a normal operation state or not according to the test results of the test items; when the terminal is in an abnormal running state, finding target applications corresponding to the abnormal running state of the terminal in a preset application library; prompting found application information of the target application to the user for installing the target applications so as to relieve the abnormal running state of the terminal. The embodiment of the invention further discloses an application recommendation device and the terminal. By the embodiment, the running state of the terminal can be improved, and running speed of the terminal can be increased.
