Abstract

The invention discloses a stereo video comfort evaluation method combining multiple parallaxes with motion, and belongs to the technical field of stereo video visual comfort evaluation. The method brings forward that three parallaxes of an object and the motion characteristic of the object are taken as important factors affecting stereo video comfort; four factors affecting the stereo video comfort are extracted, including an inter-frame substantial object parallax, an inter-frame correlation background parallax, an inter-frame parallax and a motion variable, a parallax graph is synthesized, a horizontal parallax is extracted, and a depth parallax is calculated; and a function relation between a subjective evaluation and the four major factors is established through combination of a depth perception theory and a least square fit method, a stereo video comfort evaluation model is obtained, and then the model is evaluated by use of a subjective evaluation method. According to the novel stereo video comfort evaluation method brought forward by the invention, the established model can be used to well simulate the subjective feeling of human eyes, and therefore, the method has great significance on research on the comfort of the human eyes in watching a stereo video.
