Abstract

The invention provides an automatic chip over-temperature control method and system based on an embedded type temperature sensor. The method comprises the steps that a cellphone system conducts initialized parameter configuration to an over-temperature control unit; the over-temperature control unit and the temperature sensor are started, the temperature sensor detects the current temperature of a cellphone chip, and the over-temperature control unit adjusts the current frequency automatically according to the current temperature of the cellphone chip and the initialized parameter configuration. After the temperature sensor detects the temperature of the chip, the over-temperature control unit adjusts the frequency automatically according to the current temperature, and the automatic over-temperature protection for a system is achieved. In addition, by recognizing whether a pause flag bit is marked or not, the over-temperature control unit suspends the over-temperature protection function actively for satisfying the real-time demands or the demands of high performance requirements. According to the method and system, the over-temperature protection is conducted automatically through hardware, and compared with a software query mode, the method and system are safe and reliable.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of communication technology, in particular to an automatic chip overtemperature control method and system based on an embedded temperature sensor. Background technique [0002] As smart phones become more and more popular, smart phone processors are gradually developing towards high performance and high heat generation. The temperature of the mobile phone processor will continue to rise to an uncontrollable level, causing system crashes and even hardware damage. Therefore, it is very necessary to add an over-temperature protection function in the smart phone system. [0003] In the prior art, the following two methods are usually selected to realize the over-temperature protection of the smart phone system. One is to use an external thermistor to mount the thermistor on the printed circuit board (PCB board). The smartphone processor detects the temperature of the PCB board card through the thermistor, and the softwa...
