Embodiment Construction

[0035] The invention is explained below with the aid of a schematic illustration, wherein in principle the same reference numerals are used for the same elements.

[0036] exist figure 1 In pure principle, an ultrasonic welding device is shown by means of which metal parts in the form of cable strands are to be welded together. The ultrasonic welding device includes an oscillator 10 which, in the exemplary embodiment, consists of a converter 12 , a booster 14 and a sonotrode 16 . The sonotrode 16 delimits a compression chamber 18 , which will be explained in greater detail below. The basic structure of a corresponding compression chamber is known, for example, from US 4,869,419 A1.

[0037] in accordance with Figure 2a In the view of , the sonotrode 16 and thus the sonotrode head 32 vibrate horizontally along the drawing plane and parallel to the longitudinal edge of the drawing sheet. The counter electrode assigned to the sonotrode 16 —hereinafter also referred to as anv...

Abstract

The invention relates to an ultrasound welding device for welding electrical conductors to produce a node between the conductors, comprising a compression space (18) for receiving the conductors, which is delimited peripherally by two working surfaces delimiting the compression space on opposing sides and two lateral delimitation surfaces running transversely to the working surfaces, and the remaining sides are open. One of the working surfaces is a portion of a sonotrode (16), excitable in ultrasound oscillation, for the ultrasound welding device and the other working surface is a portion of a counterelectrode (36) and at least the working surfaces are structured. In at least one exit region of the compression space, the working surface of the counterelectrode has an elevation (62, 64) with an arc shaped cross-section extending in the direction of the working surface of the sonotrode perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (28) of the compression space passing through the open sides. In order to produce a high-strength node along the entire length of the conductors running in the compression space without the appearance of undesirable stresses, according to the invention the working surface of the sonotrode (16), in the region thereof running perpendicular, in a projection of the elevation, to the plane spanned by the working surface of the sonotrode, has at least one cut-out running at least in certain portions along the elevation.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an ultrasonic welding device for welding electrical conductors such as cable strands (Litzen) in order to create joints between said conductors, the ultrasonic welding device comprising a compression chamber for accommodating the conductors, the compression chamber passing Two working surfaces delimiting the compression chamber on opposite sides and two lateral boundary surfaces extending transversely to the working surfaces and wherein the remaining sides are open, wherein one of the working surfaces is ultrasonic A section of a sonotrode excitable in ultrasonic vibrations of a welding device, while the other working surface is a section of a counter electrode, and at least said working surface is structured, wherein in the compression chamber In at least one, preferably in both outlet regions, the working surface of the counter electrode has an arc-shaped cross-section extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the thro...
