Embodiments relate to a lubrication system (1) for a bearing (2), having a lubrication material supply system (3) with a transport device (4). The conveying device (4) is designed to introduce a first lubricant quantity (8) into the bearing (2). Furthermore, the lubrication system (1) includes a lubricant discharge system (5) with a conveyor device (6), which is designed to discharge a second lubricant quantity (9) from the bearing (2). The lubrication system (1) also includes a control device (7) designed to activate the delivery device (6) of the lubricant discharge system (5) and the delivery device (4) of the lubricant supply system (3) in an interdependent manner.
