Problems solved by technology

However, when the system disk is deployed locally on the computing node, the system disk needs to occupy additional server space, which will affect the overall design of the server and even reduce the density of computing nodes
And the lack of redundant design of the local system disk leads to lower reliability or higher cost of redundant design

Abstract

The present application discloses an SAS (serial attached SCSI) network based remotely-shareable start-up system. The specific implementation mode of the system comprises: a start-up server, used for providing operating system functions and comprising multiple logical disks; at least one computing node, used for accessing information of the multiple logical disks of the start-up server; an SAS network, used for acquiring storage information stored in the start-up server, wherein the SAS network determines an access of the computing node in reference to the storage information, and the SAS network separately assigns the multiple logical disks of the start-up server to the computing node as system disks; and at least one disk cluster for storing data, wherein the disk cluster and the computing node are respectively and remotely connected by virtue of the SAS network. By adopting the implementation mode, the design of the server is simplified, the resource utilization rate of operating system disks is increased, and the reliability of the operating system disks is improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The present application relates to the field of information technology, in particular to the field of computer Internet, and in particular to a remote shareable start-up system based on SAS (Serial Attached SCSI, Serial Attached Small Computer System Interface) network. Background technique [0002] A computer system includes components for computing functions and components for storage functions. For example, a PC constitutes a computing system, in which components such as CPU, motherboard and memory provide computing functions, and hard disks provide storage functions; we will provide computing functions Components are called computing resources, and components that provide storage functions are called storage resources. Computing resources have independent computing nodes. However, when the system disk is deployed locally on the computing node, the system disk needs to occupy additional server space, which will affect the overall design of the serve...
