The method comprises the following steps of respectively correcting neutron gamma logging curves in different periods by using the reservoir rock shallow lateral resistivity of the corresponding periods to acquire corrected neutron gamma logging curves in different periods; respectively calculating according to the corrected neutron gamma logging curves in different periods and acquiring corrected neutron gamma relative value curves of corresponding periods; performing mathematical regression respectively on the corrected neutron gamma relative value curves of corresponding periods and preset analytical values of corresponding periods, and determining the reservoir shale contents in different periods. By means of the provided technical scheme, reservoir physical characteristics of different periods can be accurately acquired. The setting of a geologic model better according with real conditions can be facilitated. Accurate exploitation adjusting measures can be proposed. The aims of oil stabilizing, water controlling and oil field recovery efficiency improving can be achieved.
