Abstract

The food maker has a body including a container for holding a food mixture, the container having an open top and an open bottom. A plunger with an open top and a closed bottom is movable within the container. The plunger has an outer wall configured to be received in the container adjacent the container inner side wall, and the inner side wall and the outer side wall define an opening therebetween. The opening is configured to cause a portion of the food mixture to flow upwardly through the opening and past the inner and outer side walls as the plunger moves downward. An extruder nozzle is positioned adjacent the bottom of the container and has an inlet and an outlet such that as the plunger moves downward, the food mixture enters the inlet and exits the outlet. A slidable plate is disposed below the outlet such that the food mixture exits the outlet, is extruded onto the plate, slides the slidable plate away from the outlet, and the extruded food is continuously and uniformly extruded from the outlet and received on the plate.
