The method comprises steps of selecting a to-be-measured color from three pixel colors of red, green and blue, enabling a displaying picture of a to-be-detected display to only display the to-be-detected color, arranging a light filter between the to-be-detected display and eyes of an observer to enable light from the displaying picture to enter the eyes of the observer via the light filter, and observing the displaying picture via the light filter at a to-be-detected prospective. The light filter can only penetrate one non-to-be-detected color among the red, green and blue pixel colors. By the use of the method, color identification can be replaced via brightness determination, so whether a panel has large-view color cost can be determined.
