Abstract

The present application discloses a network traffic scheduling method and apparatus for data centers. According to one embodiment, the network traffic scheduling method for the data centers comprises: acquiring pre-stored historical bandwidth information of one of at least two data centers, wherein the bandwidth information comprises the following information: a time stamp and a bandwidth value associated with the time stamp; according to the historical bandwidth information, predicting a bandwidth value of each data center in a future preset time period so as to obtain predicted bandwidth information of each data center; according to the historical bandwidth information and the predicted bandwidth information of each data center, determining whether each data center can generate a new bandwidth peak value; and if determining the problem data center which can generate the new bandwidth peak value exists, adjusting a traffic of each data center. According to the embodiment, the condition of generating the new bandwidth peak value is reduced, so that bandwidth cost of the data centers is reduced.
