Abstract

The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for browsing pictures. The method comprises the steps of obtaining instantaneous angular velocity of a gyroscope built in a mobile device when the gyroscope rotates along a vertical axis of the mobile device at the present moment, a first position of the picture disposed on a screen at the present moment, and instantaneous velocity of the picture moving at the present moment; converting the instantaneous angular velocity into instantaneous thrust of the picture according to a preset displacement model, and calculating displacement of the picture in a 1/H time period with combination of the instantaneous velocity; and translating the picture to a second position for display after calculating the second position of the picture to be translated and displayed on the screen. The present invention also discloses an apparatus for browsing the pictures accordingly. By adoption of the embodiments, users can smoothly browse the pictures on the screen of the mobile device, and user experience is improved.
