The system comprises a photo preview area which is used for displaying the view content of a camera, a map cover layer which is used for loading map elements, covers the photo preview area and selects or edits an event in response to the click of the map elements, and a photo generating unit which is used for generating a photo with a map element. When a photographing event is triggered, the map cover layer records the size and position data of a current map element and feeds the data back to the photo generating unit. The photo generating unit acquires image data of the current photo preview area through a camera interface, and loads the image data into an internal memory to form a bitmap object. The photo generating unit synthesizes the map element and the bitmap object into an image according to the size and position data of the map element, and saves the image as a picture-format file. According to the invention, picture maps can be previewed in real time, the map element and the map area can be selected during photographing, and the mapping effect can be previewed in real time.
