Embodiment Construction

[0033] figure 2 A separator is shown comprising a trench chamber 2 with a cylindrical surrounding wall 4 and top and bottom end walls (not shown for clarity). An inlet duct 6 and an outlet duct 8 lead to the surrounding wall 4 . The inlet can be provided in the top wall in the region close to the surrounding wall 4 and at a circumferential position close to the inlet duct 6 . Such an entrance can be placed in the road passing over the splitter and covered by a grating.

[0034] A separator assembly 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention is installed in the trench chamber 2 . as in image 3 with 4 As shown in , the separator assembly 10 includes a divider having divider panels 12 and individual crosspiece members 14 .

[0035] The partition 12 divides the chamber 2 into an upper region above the partition 12 and a lower region below the partition 12 .

[0036] Divider plate 12 includes an inlet chute 16 and an outlet chute 18 . The inlet chute 16 include...

Abstract

A separator assembly (10) for a storm sewer chamber (2) is disclosed, said separator assembly comprising: dividing means which, in use, divide the chamber into upper and lower regions, the dividing means The device comprises: an inlet chute (16) having an opening (20) which, in use, provides access from the upper region to the lower region; an outlet chute (18) having an opening which, in use, provides an outlet from the lower region to the upper region; and a weir (28) separating the outlet chute (18) from the inlet chute (16); wherein at least part of the divider is flexible to allow adjustment of the outer diameters to accommodate chambers of different sizes.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a separator assembly for a stormwater gutter chamber. Background technique [0002] Conventional trenches under roads and other paved areas include a chamber with inlet and outlet pipes leading into the chamber at a location above the bottom of the chamber. There may also be a top entrance which provides access to the interior of the chamber through a grate placed on the road surface, for example in a gutter. In use, solids entering the chamber, either from the inlet duct or through the grate, collect under gravity in the base of the chamber and can be removed every time by means of a suction pipe introduced into the chamber after the grate is removed. Take out at regular intervals. Such trenches have low separation efficiency. Furthermore, in the event of a storm flow, solids accumulated in the base of the chamber as well as solids floating on the surface have a tendency to be stirred up and can enter the outlet duc...
