After the reaction was completed, 250 mL of distilled water was added to the solution, shaken vigorously in a separatory funnel for 10 min, and the aqueous phase was separated. Abstract

The invention provides a separation method of a mildew preventive in expanded polystyrene. The separation method at least comprises the following steps: (1) crushing the expanded polystyrene, and dissolving the obtained powder with an organic solvent, so as to obtain an expanded polystyrene-containing solution; (2) adding a sulfonating agent into the expanded polystyrene-containing solution to perform sulfonation treatment and generating sulfonated expanded polystyrene and a sulfonated mildew preventive; (3) extracting with water, collecting a water phase, and filtering, so as to obtain a solution of the sulfonated mildew preventive.
