Abstract

The invention discloses a multi-user-MIMO-based method and apparatus for determining precoding. The method comprises: information of a plurality of sub channels of a user is obtained; according to a correlation value among information of multiple sub channels of the user, the multiple sub channels of the user are divided into n sub channel classification sets, wherein a correlation value of a first sub channel in the sub channel classification sets and other sub channels is smaller than a correlation threshold value and the sub channel classification sets include a first sub channel and a second sub channel whose correlation value with the first sub channel is smaller than a correlation threshold value; and for each of the n sub channel classification sets of the user, a precoding matrix corresponding to the sub channel classification set is determined. The multiple sub channels of the user are divided into n sub channel classification sets, so that calculation complexity of correlation between sub channels is simplified; and because calculation of a precoding matrix for each sub channel is not required, the operation complexity during precoding obtaining is reduced.
