The insecticide is prepared from, by mass, 11-20 parts of diafenthiuron, 2.8-5.5 parts of derris extracts, 1.4-2.6 parts of plantain herb extracts, 2.2-4 parts of chlorothalonil, 1.5-2.5 parts of alkaloid of Sophora alopecuraides L, 1.5-2.6 parts of ammonium molybdate, 15-25 parts of organic solvent, 9-15 parts of emulsifier, 4-8 parts of thickener, 4.5-8 parts of antifreezing agent and 26-45 parts of water. The invention further provides application of the insecticide to saline-alkali soil Chinese cabbage plantation.
