Abstract

The invention discloses a rigid body moment of inertia demonstration apparatus and a demonstration method. The demonstration apparatus includes a backboard, an experiment apparatus and a control apparatus. The experiment apparatus is mounted on the backboard and includes a sucker type electromagnet, a steel ball, a balance pole, and overweight pieces which are arranged in front of the backboard and also a push-and-pull electromagnet which is behind the backboard. The balance pole is symmetrically provided with thorough holes, and the center of the balance pole is provided with a center shaft which penetrates the backboard so as to enable the balance pole to be in rotary installation on the backboard. The overweight pieces are symmetrically arranged in the through holes of the balance pole, which can change the weight of the entire balance pole, and the sucker type electromagnet is mounted above one end of the balance pole when the balance pole is horizontally arranged; the push-and-pull electromagnet is arranged below the center shaft, and a top pole of the push-and-pull electromagnet abuts against the center shaft which penetrates the backboard. According to the invention, the demonstration apparatus has simple structure, is easy to use, has direct appearance, can clearly demonstrate influence factors of rigid body rotation of inertia.
