Abstract

The invention discloses a method for identifying a U disk by a KVM (K Virtual Machine). The method comprises the steps of judging whether running information of a USB (Universal Serial Bus) in the KVM represents U disk identification failure or not; and when the running information represents the U disk identification failure, generating a modification instruction and sending the modification instruction to an xml configuration file so as to enable the xml configuration file to modify configuration parameters of a USB controller according to modification parameters contained in the modification instruction. Through the method, when the KVM does not identify the U disk, the configuration parameters of the USB controller in the xml configuration file are modified for ensuring that the KVM can identify the U disk. In addition, the invention discloses an apparatus for identifying the U disk by the KVM, and the effects are as mentioned above.
