The method comprises the steps: obtaining human face image data from an image database, wherein the human face image data comprises a human face image and human face gender; carrying out the training of a first convolution neural network according to the human face image data, wherein the first convolution neural network comprises a first convolution layer, a first downsampling layer, a second convolution layer, a second downsampling layer, a first full connection layer, and a second full connection layer; adding a third full connection layer and a fourth full connection layer to the trained first convolution neural network, so as to generate a second convolution neural network; carrying out the training of the second convolution neural network according to the human face image data; inputting a to-be-recognized human face image into the trained second convolution neural network, and obtaining the first gender output outputted by the second full connection layer and the second gender output outputted by the fourth full connection layer; and judging the gender of the to-be-recognized human face image according to the first gender output and the second gender output.
