The strain is microbacterium kitamiense FSTB-4 and is preserved in China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center (CGMCC) on June 1, 2015; and the preservation number is CGMCC No.10939. The strain can be applied to efficient removal of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) in salt-containing wastewater with the salt content of 1.0wt%-5.0wt%. The invention further provides a salt-tolerant bacterium agent for removing the COD and the bacterium agent comprises the microbacterium kitamiense FSTB-4.
