The invention discloses a pain assessment based electric-infusion-pump automatic infusion parameter adjustment method and system aiming to perform pain assessment through different time periods and perform quantity-adding infusion, quantity-decreasing infusion and original-parameter maintaining infusion according to pain assessment results. When an assessment startup timers completes one timing period, the method includes, the steps of S1, starting pain assessment; S2, when pain grade is zero, executing the step 3; when the pain grade is greater than or equal to 1 and smaller than or equal to 3, executing the step 4; when the pain grade is grater then or equal to 4 and smaller than 6, executing the step 5; when the pain grade is greater than 7, executing the step S6; S3, issuing quantity-decreasing commands by the system; S4, not issuing the commands by the system; S5, issuing the quantity-adding command 1 by the system; S6, issuing the quantity-adding command 2 by the system.
