The PVB film is formed by a manner of co-extrusion of five layers, wherein a first layer and a fifth layer, on the surface of the PVB film, are transparent layers; a second layer, a third layer and a fourth layer, in the middle of the PVB film, are colored layers; and a rainbow pattern is formed by any one or more of the colored layers. The invention further discloses a manufacturing method of the PVB film with the rainbow effect. According to the PVB film and the manufacturing method thereof disclosed by the invention, the colorful effect and the transition gradient color effect are realized through the combination of three colors in different concentration percentages by utilizing the light transmission of the PVB film and the color matching principle of three-primary colors, so that a rainbow color changing effect is achieved, the problem that in the prior art the colored pattern of the PVB film is relatively single is effectively solved, and the colorful PVB film with the rainbow pattern is realized.
