The method comprises: acquiring initial position and motion parameters of a ship; acquiring actual six-DOF (six degrees of freedom) parameters of the ship acquired via experimentation; inputting the initial position and motion parameters of the ship to a six-DOF ship motion mathematical model, and determining simulation six-DOF parameters of the ship; adjusting model parameters of the six-DOF ship motion mathematical model when errors between the simulation six-DOF parameters and the actual six-DOF parameters exceed a preset threshold range, re-determining simulation DOF parameters of the ship; outputting simulation DOF parameters having errors within the preset threshold range. The six-DOF ship motion mathematical model used in the method has a full consideration on the coupled effect of a ship heaving and pitching in non-still state, optimal six-DOF parameters can be acquired, ship simulation calculation precision is improved, and experimental errors are decreased.
