Abstract

The invention provides an image processing device and method. The image processing device comprises an extraction unit, a feature point matching unit and a group generation unit, wherein the extraction unit is used for extracting feature points representing local features of ungrouped images; the feature point matching unit is used for matching the feature points of input ungrouped images with the feature points of the other ungrouped images and determining the images, matched with the input ungrouped images, among the other ungrouped images to serve as a matching image set; and the group generation unit is used for generating new image groups based on the matching image set under the conditions that the matching quantity of the input ungrouped images and the other ungrouped images is greater than or equal to a first predetermined quantity and the quantity of grouped feature points among the matching feature points is greater than or equal to a threshold quantity, wherein the grouped feature points are located in an image identification region.
