Embodiment Construction

[0028] The technical solution of this patent will be further described in detail below in conjunction with specific embodiments.

[0029] see Figure 1-4 , a face illumination invariant feature extraction method based on Kirsch operator, comprising the following steps:

[0030] (1) Utilize the Kirsch operator to sharpen the face image, and extract the detail features in the horizontal direction of the face;

[0031] (2) Carry out division operation with the corresponding pixels of the original image to eliminate the slowly changing part of the face illumination, and the result is the face illumination invariant feature that needs to be extracted.

[0032] According to the light reflection model, any grayscale face image I(x,y) can be regarded as the product of the reflection component R(x,y) and the light component L(x,y), that is, I(x,y)=R (x, y)L(x, y); in the step (1), when sharpening, the Kirsch operator is applied template to obtain the sharpened face image I'.

Abstract

The invention discloses a face illumination invariant feature extraction method based on a Kirsch operator. The method comprises the following steps that the Kirsch operator is used to sharpen a face image, and detail features of the face are extracted; and the sharpened image is divided by a corresponding pixel of the original image to eliminate a slowly-change face illumination part and obtain a face illumination invariant feature which needs extracting. According to the method of the invention, illumination of different angles can be inhibited to certain extent, and the identification rate of the processed face image is higher than the face identification rate processed by a present algorithm; illumination processing is carried out on the face image by utilizing the Kirsch operator and the division, the method is simple and the identification speed is high.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of pattern recognition, in particular to a method for extracting features invariant to human face illumination based on Kirsch operators. Background technique [0002] Among all biometric identification methods, face recognition is one of the most widely used technologies, and has attracted more and more attention from researchers, and has become a hot issue in image processing, pattern recognition and computer vision research. At the same time, as a biometric identification technology that best balances the advantages and disadvantages of all parties and has multiple functions, it has broad development prospects in commercial application fields such as identification, human-computer interaction and video surveillance. Although face recognition technology has made great progress, the uncertainty and complexity of the lighting environment make face recognition difficult and become one of the main factors affe...
