The invention discloses a method of solving a malfunction of a server cluster. A primary server and standby servers are combined into the server cluster. The server cluster communicates with an external network by using a bound virtual IP address. The primary server in the server cluster is monitored; when the primary server is in the state of a malfunction, the standby server in the server cluster is started, and the priorities of all the servers in the server cluster are re-determined; and according to the re-determined priorities, the binding of the virtual IP address with the server in the server cluster is updated, so that the primary server is replaced by the standby server. When the primary server malfunctions, access to the server cluster by the external network cannot be interrupted due to the malfunction of the primary server.
