Problems solved by technology

[0016] The applicant has observed that, especially during the step in which the flexible tube has to be extracted from the outlet opening, the installation of the hydraulic braking device can be difficult and essentially depends on the skill of the operator; often, it will require Several attempts and therefore take time to use as a result
[0017] Furthermore, the applicant has observed that after insertion into the inner chamber and attempted extraction, the second free end of the flexible tube becomes damaged

Embodiment Construction

[0101] initial reference figure 1 , 2 , 2a, 4, 5, 11, 13 and 14, the reference numeral 10 globally indicates that the rear brake will be mounted on the supporting element of the bicycle, especially the bicycle frame 100 ( figure 1 ) or in the case of a front brake to be mounted on a fork (not shown) of a bicycle according to a first embodiment of the hydraulic braking device of the invention.

[0102] The device 10 includes a control member 20 ( figure 2 ), brake member 30 ( Figure 11 ) and flexible pipe 40 ( figure 2 ). The flexible tube 40 provides brake fluid between the control member 20 and the brake member 30 .

[0103] The frame 100 comprises an inner cavity 102 for the flexible tube 40 , which is provided with an inlet opening 104 and with an outlet opening 106 . exist figure 1 , schematically depicts the path of the flexible tube 40 inside the interior cavity 102 .

[0104] The control member 20 includes a fixed portion 22 to a bicycle handlebar (not shown)...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for mounting a hydraulic braking apparatus (10) on a bicycle, said hydraulic braking apparatus (10) comprising a control member (20), a braking member (30) and a flexible tube (40) for adducing braking liquid between said control member (20) and said braking member (30), the bicycle comprising a bearing element (100) with an internal cavity (102) provided with an inlet opening (104) and with an outlet opening (106) for said flexible tube (40), said method comprising - not necessarily in the order from a) to j) - the following steps: a) fixing said control member (20) to bicycle handlebars; b) fixing said braking member (30) to said bearing element (100) of bicycle; c) connecting a first free end (42) of said flexible tube (40) to one between said control member (20) and said braking member (30); d) connecting an opposite second free end (44) of said flexible tube (40) to a mounting tool (50); e) providing a mounting cable (60); f) coupling the mounting cable (60) to said mounting tool (50) connected to said flexible tube (40); g) making said mounting cable (60) pass through the internal cavity (102) of said bearing element (100) between said inlet opening (104) and said outlet opening (106); h) pulling said mounting cable (60), so as to drag said flexible tube (50) through the internal cavity (102) of said bearing element (100) between said inlet opening (104) and said outlet opening (106); i) removing said mounting tool (50) from said second free end (44) of said flexible tube (40); j) connecting said second free end (44) of said flexible tube (40) to the other between said control member (20) and said braking member (30).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a hydraulic brake device for a bicycle. [0002] In particular, the aforementioned bicycle is preferably a racing bicycle. Background technique [0003] As is known, hydraulic brake devices, in particular for controlling disc brakes, are now commonly used in bicycles. Disc brakes are generally preferred over traditional pad brakes as they ensure high braking power and are less subject to problems caused by mud or water. [0004] Generally, disc brakes consist of a caliper fixed to the frame or fork of the bicycle and a brake disc mounted on the hub of the wheel; the following will specifically refer to rear brakes and thus to a caliper fixed to the frame, but the disclosed must also be seen as referring to the front brakes, and thus the calipers which are fastened to the fork. Inside the caliper there are two opposing jaws provided with two corresponding friction linings (also pads for short). The brake disc rotates inside ...
