Abstract

The cloud identification method utilizes a ground-based all-weather fisheye camera, and includes the steps of obtaining a sky image from the ground-based all-weather fisheye camera, and reading a pixel element brightness value of each pixel element in the sky image; calculating a sky index and a brightness index of each pixel element according to the pixel element brightness value of each pixel element, and building a two-dimensional scatter diagram according to the sky indexes and the brightness indexes; generating a cloud boundary through fitting according to the two-dimensional scatter diagram; and judging the sky image according to the two-dimensional scatter diagram and the cloud boundary, thereby obtaining a cloud identification result.
