The port isolation and VLAN isolation switching method comprises the steps that port isolation is performed, that is, VLANs of ports requiring port isolation are set to be different so as to enable the ports not to perform communication therebetween; VLAN isolation is performed, that is, VLANs of ports requiring VLAN isolation are set to be identical, so that the ports of the same VLAN can perform communication therebetween, and the ports of different VLANs cannot perform communication therebetween; when VLAN isolation is switched to port isolation, the VLANs of the ports requiring port isolation are changed from the same VLAN into different VLANs; and when port isolation is switched to VLAN isolation, the VLANs of the ports requiring VLAN isolation are changed from different VLANs into the same VLAN.
