Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a grid-based high precision positioning method and device and belongs to the technical field of communication and satellite positioning. The method comprises steps of according to a spherical surface model, dividing the surface of the earth into densely-paved hierarchical grids according to the grading, and generating recognizable hierarchical grid code sets, including positioning information, corresponding to the each grade of hierarchical grids; acquiring differential information of each grid code in the hierarchical grid code sets; and outwards broadcasting the hierarchical grid code sets and the differential information sets through broadcasting stations, television stations or mobile communication base stations. According to the invention, by changing the complex serial and active service mode of "firstly requesting, then, calculating and finally, servicing" into the parallel and passive service mode of "receiving + matching", the bottlenecks in user quantity limitations of high precision position services are solved, so use cost of the users is reduced, pressure in background calculation and communication bandwidth is relieved and system safety of the service platform is improved.
