The invention discloses a method for determining refrigerant quantity of a refrigerating system. The method comprises the following steps: 1, pre-storing a correspondence table of opening degree data of a specific electronic expansion valve and the temperature of a winding in the refrigerating system, and meanwhile, pre-storing a relation table of air exhausting temperature and winding temperature in the refrigerating system; 2, picking an opening degree of the special electronic expansion valve, and determining whether the air exhausting temperature is within the preset range, and entering step 3 if the air exhausting temperature is within the preset range; and 3, determining whether the motor winding temperature is within the preset range; if so, determining that refrigerants meet the system requirement; and if not so, determining that the refrigerants are insufficient, and prompting that the refrigerants are insufficient by the system.
