A method for acquiring transient stability of a grid-connected inverter interfaced distributed generator comprises the steps of firstly, calculating an initial output power of the inverter interfaceddistributed generator (IIDG) according to a parameter of a control system of the grid-connected inverter interfaced distributed generator and a parameter of a connection power grid; and secondly, calculating a power angle and a changing track of the output power after a transient event by employing a time domain-based iterative algorithm according to information of the transient event, and judgingthe transient stability of the IIDG according to the power angle at a current moment. By the method, the forecast and the judgment on the transient stability of the grid-connected inverter interfaceddistributed generator can be achieved in an off-line way, a basis is provided for stable running of the distributed generator in a power distribution network, and a stable running condition is provided for dispatching staff and management staff of the power distribution network.
