Abstract

Provided is a window regulator that can smoothly raise and lower a window glass used in vehicles. A window regulator 30 comprises: a guide rail 33; a driving unit that has a drum 38; a glass holder 31that holds the window glass; a carrier plate 32 that moves up and down along the guide rail 33 and that has two elongated holes 52 for fastening the glass holder 31; a bolt 64 and a nut 65 that fasten the carrier plate 32 and the glass holder 31 by the bolt being inserted into the elongated hole 52; and a lifting and lowering cable 36, 37 that has one end mounted to the carrier plate 32 and the other end mounted to the drum 38. The carrier plate 32 is provided with a plate spring 53 that moves the glass holder 31 to a prescribed position. The elongated hole 52 has a horizontal length that islonger than the vertical length so that the inserted bolt 64 and the nut 65 can move in response to glass holder 31 movement due to the plate spring 53.
