Abstract

The invention discloses a liquid box. The liquid box comprises a liquid supply hole, a first wall, a second wall, a third wall and a prism, wherein the prism is provided with an irradiated surface, and is configured to receive light emitted by a light emitting part included in a box mounting part, and to change the state of the received light by responding to changes of liquid level of the storedliquid; the liquid supply hole is formed below the third wall in a downward direction; and the irradiated surface is positioned above the third wall in an upward direction, and is positioned between the first wall and the second wall. The liquid box can reduce the risk that ink adhered on the liquid supply hole is splashed on the prism. Correspondingly, the light emitting part emits light towardsthe irradiated surface to detect residual amount of the liquid stored in the liquid box, so that the risk of a method of incorrectly detecting whether the residual amount of the liquid is low or not can be reduced.
