A dry powder inhaler (100, 200) comprising: a housing (102, 202, 104, 204) with a lower housing part (104, 204) to form at least one air inlet (106, 206) and at least one air outlet (108, 208) is provided. The inhaler further comprises at least one container (116, 216) in the lower housing part (104, 204), the container (116, 216) having a cavity (118, 218) for a dry powder drug. The inhaler alsocomprises a chamber (122, 222) above the at least one container (116, 216) for deaggregation of the drug after emptying of the drug from the cavity (118, 218). Upon inhalation by a user at the at least one air outlet (108, 208), air flows from the at least one air inlet (106, 206) into and through the chamber (122, 222) to empty the drug from the cavity (118, 218) and convey the drug to the at least one outlet (108, 208). A method of emptying a powder from an inhaler (100, 200) is also disclosed.
