Abstract

In the display device, printing ink can move in a first area and a second area; and when there is no electricfield effect, because of the hydrophilic oleophobic performance of the hydrophilic cofferdam and the surface tension of the printing ink, the printing ink is difficult to stay in another area, and apixel is realized not to require a continuous applied electric field in both open and close states and a voltage only needs to be applied when the state is switched. The electrodeless area corresponding to gaps among cofferdam bodies forming the hydrophilic cofferdam is in an arc belt shape so that electrodes are not easy to be broken down, the motion speed of the printing ink is fast and the response speed of the display device can be increased. The display device possesses characteristics of a simple, stable and reliable structure, high reflectivity and low energy consumption.
