Abstract

The present invention provides a surgical instrument comprising a controller configured to: when the displacement or intensity of the button is above a first threshold but below a second threshold higher than the first threshold, control applies RF or ultrasound energy at a low level, and controls apply RF or ultrasound energy at a high level when said displacement or intensity exceeds said second threshold.
